Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of creating and improving content in order to increase ranking and searchability for specific terms and keywords. The idea is that you want to be viewed as an authority by search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing in your industry. They determine this by algorithms that index your content, knowledge, and external impact to determine how likely your website is to answer a question that someone is searching for. The more confident that the search engine is that you have the answer that is being looked for, the higher your website will rank for that search phrase.
